Hey there! I think the current time is Exam time. Isn’t it? Everyone are in pressure, starting from Parents to students. But I am not in pressure. Strange! It is because I apply several methods to be cool and calm during exams. Even my exam is scheduled just after a day. My sisters appreciate my calmness, cool behaviour and patience level. Exams are steps to success. Every millionaire and billionaire have came across these steps and reach at the top of those steps – Success.
In this article, we will discuss about the problem of depression and anxiety due to exam fear, some people who got entangled in the phase of depression but still they succeed and at last the solution to exam fear, anxiety and depression.

In this opiniative world, everyone just wanted to show that they are something. If they do not show that, everyone just start to make useless talks. There is a wrong belief that ‘Work Hard to achieve something’. Do you know what it means by ‘Hard Work’? It doesn’t means that you have to work 24×7 to achieve what you want. No, if you think that, you are on a wrong track. Turn around and look how many are with you. Everyone in this world are doing hard work. I am not saying that all these millionaires didn’t work hard. They did! But there is one word hide in ‘Hard Work’. If you think very deeply, you will find that word. Think about it. I am not going to reveal it now. Find it yourself. I will reveal it at the end of the article.
Along with working very hard, we got pressurised by others. Our parents and others will force us to pay more attention in studies even we are working as much we can. They pressurised us by other’s failures instead of motivating us by other’s achievements. That can be the important reason behind failures, depression, anxiety and stress. This pressure will kill us if we don’t release it. Release it now.
As I said everyone is doing just hard work to achieve their ambitions. Due to that hard work, everyone is getting frustrated and depressed. Like everyone, my friend is also getting tensed by exams. He studies 8 hours a day. Look at me, I never studied for more than 3 hours. The main reason behind exam fear is the lack of confidence. Everyone of us lacks confidence and therefore at exam time we feel that we cannot achieve good marks. Look, marks cannot decide our future. Then, what matter that you achieve 70 or 100? All these millionaires like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Elon Musk etc. never had good education. Even all of us heard about Albert Einstein. He also didn’t achieve good results at school. Even he had constantly odds with teachers at school. He leaved his school because of school’s regimentation. He was frustrated by school rules. Marks cannot decide your future, you are only one who can decide your own future.
Due to rat race to top in class, we study as much we can. Let me tell you that over studying can harm you. By over studying, you destroy your health. Health problems like obesity and mental problems like depression and anxiety can be occured due to over studying. So, never study above your capacity. Study in accordance to your capacity.
In this world, successful people are highly prone to depression. It is true. I am going to discuss about some people who get caught in the web of depression but they battle it and get out of it.
1. J.K. Rowling :
The first person I am going to talking about is J.K Rowling. How many of you know her? Yes, she is the Goddess of very popular fictional story series – Harry Poter. She got caught in depression when she was writing her first series. At that time, she was the only struggling woman with children in her family. Due to overload of work, she got into the stage of depression. But she fought against it and her Harry Poter series is World Famous.
2. Robert Downey Jr. :
The another world famous personality, our Iron Man – Robert Downey Jr. Our Iron Man was also got in depression and got drug abuse. He also sentenced imprisonment for 3 years but on request, he was released by the court. After that, he decided that he should recover from drug abuse if he wants to pursue his career. He determined and succeed. Now, he is considered as the heart of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
3. Abraham Lincoln:
The another personality who was the 16th President of America – Abraham Lincoln. He had to defeat all the discrimination happening in US. He abolished slavery in USA. He got in depression but after battling with it, he is considered the best president of US.
Okay, let’s reveal the secret that I mentioned above. I can’t kept the secret within my stomach. Along with hard work, do smart work. What it means by smart work? Every successful person you see, did smart work along with hard work. By working smart, I mean that you can apply several methods to not to get frustrated and depressed while studying or running behind your goal. Let’s see what are those methods you can apply while completing for exams or hardworking to achieve something.
- Prepare according to your Time Table:
Prepare according to your time table. By applying that, you can save much of your time in messing around the syllabus, thinking what to do first. Prepare a schedule that suits you the best. Don’t forget to add breaks in your schedule.
- Break down the subject into small constitutent parts:
What you do when you can’t eat a cake piece whole at a same time? You break it down into small pieces. Similarly, studying 500 pages whole in a day or an hour can be draining and exhausting. Break it down into small parts, say, 50 pages a day. By applying that, you can study more efficiently and it reduces anxiety and depression also.
- Take small naps:
Taking small naps while preparing for exams, reduces anxiety and stress. The study proved that toppers apply this the most. When you feel draining and exhausting, take small naps, say, for 15-20 minutes.
- Do not study after 9-10 P.M. :
After studying 12 hours continuously, your mind gets tired. Do not study after 9 or 10 PM. The study has shown that studying after 9 PM can be harmful for health. Just close the books, take deep breathe and go to bed.
- Wake up early and start studying:
As the last method mentioned above, just get to bed at 9 or 10. After that, wake up early in the morning and Start studying. You can wake up at 4 or 5. The morning is the best time for studies. I personally follow this and even my competitor and also a Ranker namely, Riya also applies the same method.
- Pursue your Hobby in free time:
While preparing for exams, we forget about our hobbies. Hobbies are the source of refreshment. Never forget about the work you like to do. Studying for long periods of time is not a good thing. Pursue your hobby in free time for sometime.
- Drink water every 45 minutes:
The study has shown that while studying, students never drink water. This can leads to reduce in water level in your body which further leads to health problems. Therefore, drink water every 45 minutes while running to achieve success.
- Eat only nutritious food:
Eating salad and fruits help the most while preparing for exams. Keep away from Junk food like Pizza and Burger. If you consume junk food, you will get unhealthy and can get caught in the web of digestion problems.
- Stay away from negative people:
It is the most deadly thing. Every student faces this problem. Our world is surrounded by negative people who will always try to demotivate you. Keep away from those deadly ones. Keep motivating yourself. Never listen to those negative comments.
- Bare notification pop ups on your phone:
Do it now. Bare notification pop ups on your phone. It causes distraction. Just keep your phone shut down while studying. But yes, stay tuned to me! This is the place of motivation not distraction.
