I got this idea from a book named ‘Think and Grow Rich’ written by a great author, Napoleon Hill. There are 13 principles stated in that book which are specially designed for them who want to be succeed. Those 13 principles are very helpful for those who are facing failures. They failed because they don’t know the art of success. I am reading that book, not completed yet. As I already read the second chapter of that book, i.e., Desire – The First Step to Success, I thought that I should share that with you. And yes, I am going to describe all the 13 principles stated in the book through storytelling. Therefore, stay tuned to learn all the 13 principles stated in book without actually reading the whole book. But relax, I will also provide a link to download that book for free. Let’s get started!
A boy named Henry was living in a small town of Monaco. He belonged to very poor family. His family even did not have one time of food. His family was engulfed in too many problems.

His mother was a very good cook. In addition to this, she had a farm. She was very enthusiastic. She dreamed that her son would be a doctor like her elder brother. Her elder brother left her with her family in Monaco. But still, Henry’s mother had a hope that her brother would return. His name was John.

John was a doctor and he was a broad-minded guy. He believed that anyone can achieve anything he want. He was also a motivational speaker. He motivated many who failed many times. He was a great guy but still he left his younger sister.

Henry was very fond of his Uncle. He also wanted to be a doctor like his Uncle. He loved reading different books. One day, he found a book at the nearest library to his house. He was shocked when he saw the name of the author. The author of that book was his uncle. He didn’t have enough money to purchase it. He desired to have that book. The book worth 50$. He started working hard. He worked at a tea shop. He washed cups and saucers. He delivered tea to different shops. He had only one desire to purchase that book written by his uncle. The owner of that shop paid him 1$/month. It is because there was only few customers a day.

Henry thought that he should do something to increase his income. He suggested the owner that he should do something new to grab the attention. He suggested one way. He suggested that they could serve food along with tea. That could work. It worked. Within a month, the number of customers increased. The owner thanked Henry to suggest an awesome idea. He increased Henry’s salary from 1$ to 2$. By that time, Henry accumulated 10$. Now, he wanted only 40$ more to purchase the book.

But still he had to work hard to make 40$. He did. He worked hard to make 40$. As he was doing hard, the owner of the tea shop asked him why he was working hard. The boy smiled and said, “I want to purchase a book written by my uncle.” The owner shocked when he heard that. He was surprised that the boy was working as much he can just for a book. But that is what it is.

Henry had a burning desire to have the book written by his uncle. That was the burning desire who helped Henry to have that book. After a year, he had purchased that book. He did what he thought to. There is one great line in the book ‘The Alchemist‘ written by Paulo Coehlo,

When you desire for something, the whole universe conspires to helps you to achieve it.

Desire is a starting point to all achievements. When you have a desire to achieve something, there is no one who can stop you to get it. Just believe that you will achieve it. And yes, you may have to face failures but remember, Failures are your best Friends. Without a failure, nothing can be achieved. It is because we learn something from our mistakes and failures. Never give up. Just work hard to achieve it. Below is an extract from the second chapter of the book ‘Think and Grow Rich’:

The method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps, viz:

First. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say “I want plenty of money.” Be definite as to the amount.
Second. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as “something for nothing.)
Third. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
Fourth. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
Fifth. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
Sixth. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ—SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.

At the end of this, I just want to tell you that Dream Big. Without dreamers, this world is just a place full of boringness. Therefore, Dream Big. You don’t have to pay any money to dream. Just think about what you want to do and get it done. Stay tuned to read the whole book made of 255 pages in just reading 1000 Word articles. Thank you for reading! Keep inspiring and motivating! Cheers!
