Camping Trip to the Heaven on the Earth

Didi Oviattchallenged writers to describe the scene of Camping Trip through our own characters that are WIP. I described my fictional characters who were on a camping trip. They experienced all the things which were either unusual or interesting. This story is fictional just written for fun. Imagine that you are on a similar trip with your colleagues. Enjoy reading!

Hey there! Apurva,Tirth, Sakshi, and me were on a camping to the Heaven on the Earth – Kashmir, Kullu and Manali. All were very excited to see the beauty of the place. I felt proud to have that place in my country India. We all left our homes to get started. We were shocked when we saw the miraculous beauty that catch our attention just wondering that how the almighty made this. Just Woah!

We first saw the rising sun at the dawn of the day. As the time passed, we all were getting tired and hungry. We all started looking for something to eat and get our hunger cool. Suddenly, there came a scary, unusual and frightening sound. I didn’t know what was that. I checked behind the scenes and found one small house. There was a dog barking seeing a cat which was escaping through the yard. It was our fortune that dog was anchored with the door. We all felt relaxed as we found a house where we could spend the whole night.

After seeing that, Sakshi knocked the door. On knocking, an old woman with her paralyzed husband sitting on a wheelchair, opened the door. They were living alone in that house. They were seeming kind. I and Apurva came to their aid. We wished them morning and told them that we were on a trip and didn’t know anything about places. They appreciated our arrival to their house and offered us tea. We told them we already had tea in morning. We said that we were very hungry and needed something to eat rather than drink. The old woman smiled and said us to get inside the house and wait for breakfast. We did as she said.

That was a very big house from inside. The couple were very kind and generous. We thought that our trip was going to be memorable. After awhile, old woman came with a delicious meal and cups of coffee. We completed our meal. While completing, couple had talked with us. Her husband asked us if we were staying at their house. We thanked him for request and said that we were there for camping. We should enjoy the camping trip. We apologized as we denied their request. After finishing, we all set up for sight-seeing. We asked them for a leave and thanked them for so much love.

After that, we saw an eye-catching beauty of setting sun. The whole sky turned orange. The wind is blowing with soft sounds. There was a mild winter. The water was lapping the shore producing pleasant sound. We all were admiring the beauty. Suddenly, Apurva said that it was getting late to set our camps. Sakshi said to me that we should set up our camps by 8 as there was a chance of getting scared by animals.

We all set for looking a safe place to set up our camps. We found one. We started setting up our camps. Sakshi was very bad at setting up a camp. I helped her. I finished mine and of Sakshi. Apurva was very good at that work. It is because he already had many camping trips before. We already had enough food given by an old woman. We finished our dinner.

And now the time came of lighting firewood. We lighted firewood and sat around it. There was very cold so we need to get warmth. But what to do after sitting around firewood? Sakshi came forward with an idea. She stood at her place and said to play a game named ‘DumSaras’. I and Apurva got confused about what Sakshi said. We asked her if she could elaborate more on that game. She humbly accepted our request. She explained that one of us would perform the actions of any movie given by us without actually speaking. We have to guess that movie. There would be two teams. One who is performing has to made his/her team member understand that movie. We all got excited after understanding the game. We all played that game but get bored after awhile.

I suggested to play ‘Antakshari‘. We just had to sing songs, one by one. We enjoyed that game a lot.

After that we decided to stop playing games and just talks about something else. We had talks on various social topics.

After that Tirth started telling story. He is a very boring storyteller. But he feels very proud to have that storytelling skill. He started telling story. Except him, all slept but he continued, thinking that we were listening to him. After sometime, he also slept. Our first day ended up.

Our second day was similar to first one. We enjoyed a lot. After that, we packed up our belongings and got ready to leave the Heaven of The Earth.
